Heidi Cooper
Heidi Cooper serves as Treasurer on the 23-person Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF). She is also Assistant Treasurer.
Heidi is Vice Chair on the American Farm Bureau Federation Promotion & Education (P&E) Committee. She was first elected Vice Chair in 2024 and was re-elected in 2025.
The AFBF P&E Committee promotes understanding of agriculture, empowers our members with tools for engagement, and provides training opportunities to equip volunteers to confidently connect with consumers. Heidi is one of only eleven appointments across the country.
She is the General Manager of Lilac Hedge Farm in Rutland, MA. The operation now includes 200 head of beef, 420 head of swine, 20,000 broilers, 2,500 turkeys, and 2,500 layers which are all raised on a pasture-based system from birth to processing. Animals are then processed and directly retailed to consumers through home delivery, 15+ farmers markets, a subscription program, direct delivery, and various wholesale and restaurant accounts.
Heidi is currently working towards earning her degree in Project Management at Southern New Hampshire University.
