Charles Proctor serves as a member of the 23-person board of directors for the Massachusetts Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF), a non-profit farming advocacy organization representing nearly 6,000 family members across the Commonwealth. In this capacity, he assesses the overall direction and strategy of MFBF.
Proctor retired in 2012 after a lifetime of dairy farming. The farm now has 270 acres in the APR (agricultural preservation restriction) program and is rented to another dairy farmer.
