TRAIL RIDE
CRANE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
Rt. 151 In Hatchville, Falmouth, MA
SUNDAY OCTOBER 18TH 9:30 TO 12:30
LED BY THOM GIFFORD
Thom is lifelong horseman and “long rider”. His Trail Riding experience began as Trailboss for the Cape Cod Trail Riders in the 1970’s through well into the 1980’s. As a woodsman and rider Thom has an extensive knowledge of trails in many different venues. Thom has ridden his own horses as far away as Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and South Dakota. Thom is presently the Equine Director for the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest. In this capacity he has had the opportunity to further the interests of horseback riders that use Myles Standish. Many trails have been improved and brought up to standards that make for enjoyable riding experiences.
The ride in Crane Wildlife Management Area will be over basically flat terrain on well cleared trails. This will be an easy ride suitable for everyone, young and old, and being only about two hours long will not tire an out of shape horse or rider.
